My Founder Story
Carrie Velliquette, CMC, CDP, CADDCT

"My journey into senior care didn’t begin in a classroom or with a job title—it began with my grandparents."
I was incredibly fortunate to have deep, meaningful relationships with all of my grandparents, not just in childhood, but well into my adult life. Spending that time with them gave me an early and lasting appreciation for what it truly means to age with dignity. I saw firsthand how important independence, respect, and choice are to seniors, and how essential it is that they are treated as capable adults who remain active participants in their own lives and care.
In 2005, I began my professional career in health care, but the values that guide my work today were shaped long before that. One of the most influential experiences in my life was watching my paternal grandmother live with Alzheimer’s disease. At the time, I didn’t fully understand the complexity of her needs or the impact of dementia on a family—but that experience stayed with me. Looking back, it was the foundation for my lifelong commitment to advocating for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, and for the families who love and support them.
As my career progressed, I saw both the beauty and the challenges of aging from every angle—private duty care, home health, senior living, and hospice. I witnessed how overwhelming it can be for seniors and families to navigate care decisions, regulations, and transitions during some of the most vulnerable moments of life. I also saw how powerful the right guidance, education, and support can be.
Today, my work is deeply personal. I am passionate about helping seniors remain safely at home when possible, supporting them through new aging obstacles, and guiding families as they explore whether senior living options are the right next step. I believe aging should be approached with compassion, understanding, and respect—and that no one should feel alone while navigating it.
Everything I do is rooted in one simple belief: seniors deserve to be heard, honored, and supported in living life on their own terms.
